Midtown Bake Shop, formerly Perfectly Blended Bakery, began in 2012 as a fundraiser for my IVF journey. From there it grew into a business that we are loving! I have always had a love for baking and being in the kitchen. From a young age I would pull out one of my mom's cookbooks and find a recipe to bake. My mom loves telling the story of the time when I randomly selected orange danish rolls to bake (I was in 4th grade). My mom has always encouraged and supported my love for baking, but this time she was thinking it might not be a great experience. I proved her wrong and the orange danish rolls turned out amazing (according to my mom!) I also have very fond memories of baking snickerdoodles with my grandpa. We loved comparing snickerdoodle recipes in hopes of finally coming up with one that was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I am so happy that we found the perfect recipe before he passed away. My snickerdoodle cookies are one of my top sellers and hold such precious memories of time spent with grandpa.
